This Judel/Vrolijk & Co design offers easy handling under all circumstances
The Hanse 418 is a Judel/Vrolijk&Co design with a moderate hull and an underwater ship intended to sail well under all circumstances. Because of her 8 year evolution, the Hanse 418 offers a well-balanced interior layout, above-average carpentry and a fully developed cockpit layout with ‘working’ area separated from the relaxing area.
The hull of the Hanse 418, was first introduced in 2012. She has a moderate hull width and an underwater ship which gives her the ability to point high. She is well mannered because of her L-shaped keel with a low centre of gravity and deep high aspect rudder. Contrary to boats with double rudder blades the Hanse 418 maneuvres in the confined spaces of marinas with remarkable ease. The single deep rudder makes it possible to sail the boat into your berth without the need of a bow thruster. Interior is clean and spacious. The many deck lights and windows allow a lot of sunlight. Although the stern is not as wide as many competitors, the cabins in the back offer ample space. The front cabin can be a real ensuite if you opt for the second heads. The saloon with her U-shaped sofa and bench at the opposite easily accommodates six people. The heads at the entrance is very large with a shower separated by plexiglass doors.
