Nautitech Update: Business Continuity, Restructuring and What It Means for Owners

Nautitech Catamarans has announced that it has entered court-supervised restructuring proceedings in France.

We understand that this news may raise questions among yacht owners, clients, prospective buyers and partners. It is an important development, and it should be taken seriously. At the same time, it is equally important to separate facts from speculation.

This is not a liquidation announcement. The restructuring process is intended to provide Nautitech with a protective legal framework while the company continues operations and works towards a sustainable long-term solution.

According to Nautitech, production, deliveries, after-sales service and commercial activities are continuing during the observation period. The shipyard has also confirmed that customer orders will be reviewed and monitored individually, in coordination with the relevant dealer.

Why this is happening

The wider recreational boating market has become more challenging over the past years. Many shipyards have had to adapt to lower demand, changing production needs and a more selective customer market.

Nautitech has also been going through a strategic transformation: adapting production capacity, streamlining costs, focusing on higher-value models and investing in a renewed product range.

The current process is therefore about creating a framework for business continuity while Nautitech seeks the right long-term financial and industrial solution.

What this means for existing owners

For existing Nautitech owners, the most important message is that after-sales service is expected to continue.

At Yacht-Match, we will continue to support our owners by centralising open topics, coordinating communication with Nautitech, and following up in a structured and factual way.

Owners with open warranty or after-sales matters are encouraged to provide us with an updated overview of their open items, including photos, descriptions and any previous correspondence. This allows us to keep a clear overview and communicate efficiently with the shipyard.

What this means for clients with boats on order

For clients with yachts already on order, each project will be reviewed individually.

Where construction has not yet started, Nautitech has stated that production start, delivery schedule and operational conditions will be assessed case by case. This means that confirmed project-specific information should be requested before relying on any previous timeline.

Yacht-Match will work closely with Nautitech and each client to ensure that questions are centralised, communication remains clear, and any confirmed updates are shared as soon as they become available.

What this means for prospective buyers

For prospective buyers, this is a moment that requires careful, informed and transparent decision-making.

Some buyers may prefer to wait until the restructuring process has progressed further. Others, especially experienced yacht owners or business-minded clients who understand risk and timing, may see this as a moment to explore opportunities — provided that the conditions are clear, written and properly structured.

At Yacht-Match, we will only discuss opportunities based on information validated by Nautitech. Our focus is to help clients understand the situation, ask the right questions, assess risk properly and structure any potential project responsibly.

A broader perspective

The marine industry has seen restructuring moments before. These periods can be challenging, but they can also lead to renewal, stronger ownership structures, sharper strategy and a more focused product range.

Nautitech has a recognised brand, an experienced team, an operational shipyard in Rochefort, a renewed product range and an international dealer network. The Nautitech 41 Type S has also generated strong interest as part of the next chapter of the brand.

The coming weeks and months will be important. For now, our role is to remain calm, factual and constructive — supporting owners, advising clients and working closely with Nautitech through the official communication channels.

Our position

Yacht-Match remains committed to supporting Nautitech owners and prospective clients with transparency, structure and professional guidance.

We will continue to monitor the situation closely and communicate only based on confirmed information.
