Viktor van Savooyen and Dirk Agter, the founding partners of Yacht-Match have since 2022 worked alongside Daria Petrova, to form the YM Charter & Management. We offer yacht & charter management advice comparing your options from standardised charter programs to fully tailored solutions.

Before starting Yacht-Match, he was a sales manager for Navigare Yachting where he worked closely alongside the co-founder in the growth years of the company. It was also here where he met his future-business partner Dirk Agter.

At Yacht-Match, we create tailored charter-management solutions based on your yacht, financial objectives, preferred cruising region, private-use requirements and long-term ownership plans.
Rather than representing one fixed fleet programme, we help you evaluate the available options and coordinate the right combination of charter operator, operating base, commercial strategy and technical support.
Our role is to remain on the owner’s side throughout the process — providing structure, oversight and experienced guidance while trusted local partners manage the yacht’s daily charter operations.
The Original Idea Behind Yacht-Match
Yacht-Match was founded by Viktor van Savooyen in 2017 after several years of working with yacht buyers and owners within the international charter-management industry.
During this time, Viktor saw that owners were often expected to adapt their plans to the existing business model of a charter operator. Important decisions regarding private use, operating region, expected income, yacht specification and long-term exit strategy were frequently treated as separate matters rather than parts of one complete ownership plan.
The original idea behind Yacht-Match was to reverse this approach.
Instead of beginning with a standard programme, we begin with the owner:
What do you want to achieve with the yacht? How much private use is important? Which cruising region suits your plans? What level of charter activity is realistic? How should the yacht be prepared, operated and maintained? What should happen when the initial charter period comes to an end?
This owner-first philosophy remains at the heart of Yacht-Match Charter & Management today.
More Than Placing a Yacht Into Charter
A successful charter-management arrangement involves much more than placing a yacht into a fleet.
It requires coordination between the owner, charter operator, booking agencies, technical specialists, service providers and financial or legal advisors.
Yacht-Match helps bring these different areas together within one structured strategy.
Depending on the yacht and the owner’s objectives, our involvement may include:

The local operator remains responsible for the daily running of the yacht, including guest service, check-in and check-out, technical readiness and emergency response.
Yacht-Match provides the owner with the wider strategic overview and an experienced point of coordination.
Charter Expertise That Goes Beyond the Spreadsheet
Daria Petrova leads the commercial and charter-market development of our service.
Daria has worked in the international yacht-charter industry since 2002. She later founded and managed the Mallorca-based charter agency Morecruise for 15 years, arranging more than 2,000 charter weeks as well as private events and corporate regattas.
Her background provides valuable insight into how yachts are selected, presented, priced and booked within the international charter market.
At Yacht-Match, Daria works with charter strategy, agency relationships, commercial partnerships, revenue planning and the development of charter products tailored to different ownership objectives.
She also supports clients who are making the transition from charter guest to yacht owner, helping them understand the difference between enjoying a yacht for one week and operating it successfully over several seasons.
Her role ensures that each charter-management proposal is connected to real market knowledge rather than based only on theoretical income projections.
Experienced Owner Care and Operational Coordination
Angela Fuštin leads Charter Management and Owner Care at Yacht-Match.
Angela brings more than 17 years of experience supporting yacht owners and investors within international charter programmes.
Her experience covers the full ownership lifecycle, including onboarding, owner communication, operational coordination, documentation, reporting, expectations management, handovers and phase-out preparation.
Charter ownership often involves several companies and many individual contacts. Without clear coordination, owners can struggle to understand who is responsible, what has been agreed and whether important matters are being followed up.
Angela helps create that structure.
She supports communication between the owner and the operating partner, follows up on documentation and agreed actions, coordinates owner-care processes and helps prepare annual reviews and important ownership decisions.
When an owner approaches the end of a charter programme, Angela can also support the preparation for renewal, relocation, continued charter operation, private use, sale or phase-out.
Her role is to provide continuity and ensure that the owner is not left alone to manage a complicated network of operators, technicians and service providers.
Independent Oversight with Strong Local Execution
Yacht-Match does not seek to replace capable local charter operators.
Instead, we help select, assess and coordinate the right operating partners for each yacht.
The local operator provides the on-site infrastructure, guest service, technical response and day-to-day charter execution. Yacht-Match maintains the owner relationship and oversees the wider ownership, commercial and operational strategy.
This structure allows owners to benefit from local expertise without losing control of the bigger picture.
Where an operator performs well, we help strengthen and develop the cooperation. Where communication, reporting, technical standards or commercial results require improvement, we help identify the issues and evaluate the available alternatives.
Our ability to advise on renewal, relocation or an operator change is an important part of remaining owner-focused.
